On the white floor tiles, martina's huge feet moved back and forth, sweeping up cigarette butts, scraps of paper, empty bottles and clumps of dust. the giant woman held a cigarette in her mouth and carelessly threw all the garbage into the open black plastic bag. just as she was about to tie the bag shut, a faint movement made her stop. martina crouched down and narrowed her eyes - in the garbage heap, there was a trembling little dwarf, no taller than one of her fingers. "oh dear," she blew out a cloud of smoke, the greyish-white smoke enveloping the bag opening. "look what this is? a little bug hiding in the garbage?" she extended her finger painted with bright red nail polish and poked the little figure named jamie, watching him clumsily fall into the pile of cigarette butts. "please, please... " jamie's voice was as soft as the chirping of a mosquito. martina, however, laughed. the sound of her laughter made the plastic bag rustle. "little thing should stay in the garbage bag." she took a deep drag on her cigarette, flicking the hot ashes towards jamie, watching his panicked evasion, and the humiliation brought a smile to her lips. without taking another look, the female giant pulled the drawstring of the black plastic bag, neatly tying a knot. in jamie's final vision, there was the rapidly closing gap of the bag, martina's cold and indifferent face looking down, and her huge figure casually picking up the bag and walking towards the door. there was a dull thud. the black garbage bag was thrown into the large trash can outside the apartment building, blending in with the noisy sounds of the urban night. inside the bag, there was only a silence and darkness.
